Help! I’m Getting a Smart Phone!

by Nicole Branigan on December 9, 2010 · 3 comments

My cell phone contract is up, and it’s time I upgrade to a smart phone. This terrifies and excites me. On one hand, I can streamline and integrate social media processes and organizational tools in one mobile device. On the other, I’m going to be married to an electronic device that’s smarter than me!

I was considering getting a Blackberry, but I’ve read less than stellar reviews and have heard more than enough first hand accounts of what the Blackberry can’t do, and won’t do well. The Droid X seems to be a robust (tacky buzz word) device that will make my life easier…or more complicated.

Does anyone have any experience using the Droid X? Once I get more comfortable using it, I’ll post my review and experience. Those of you that use the Droid X, feel free to share tips and reviews in the comment section below. Thanks!

I know a fella that uses a droid x. He said it was the only phone he has not threw across the room in a bout of anger.

I have a Droid X. And like you waited a long time before getting one. Is it perfect… no. But it’s very powerful and does way more then most people will ever do. It integrates great with Google and is easy to use. I got mine from http://www.newegg.com for $49 bucks. Compared to the Iphones, it’s better because it’s an open platform. It runs everything. Apple can be a bit difficult to work with.

I like mine. But like everything it too will be replaced one day.

Remember it’s not a child. . . you’ll replace it in 2 years with a new one anyway.

Enjoy.
